The Chesapeake Volunteer Center is offering one motivated individual the opportunity to spend a year serving in the upper eastern shore as an AmeriCorps*VISTA (domestic Peace Corps) member. Candidates must be self-starters, at least 18 years of age, have their own transportation, love working with people, and have good organizational and computer skills. Candidates must also have proficiency with Microsoft Office programs. Some web page design and desktop publishing skills are desirable. This position is a mixture of office work and fieldwork, so qualified candidates must be willing to attend weekend and evening meetings and volunteer projects.
