Eastern Shore Poultry Farmers Wary Of Film Crews

A Wicomico County farmer told police recently that a documentary crew refused to leave his property. He complained the crew was trying to take soil or water samples from his farm. The Delmarva Poultry Industry says the visitors were members of the Waterkeeper Alliance, an environmental group chaired by Robert Kennedy Jr. that is studying the water quality of the Chesapeake Bay. DPI representatives worry the trespassers could spread diseases on local farms. Most poultry companies require visitors to sign-in before entering a farm.
