Flagger Dies In Eastern Shore Accident

Maryland State Police say a woman was hit by a car and killed while directing traffic at a construction site on a Somerset County highway. 45-year-old Tammy Renee Hammond of Salisbury was working as a flagger at a work zone on the shoulder of Route 413 when she was hit by a Buick. Hammond was taken to Peninsula Regional Medical Center where police say she died. The crash remains under investigation.
