The Four Winds Performing Arts Center announces the next concert in its line-up of fine quality, Maryland-based musicians. Bluegrass favorites, Darren Beachley and the Legends of the Potomac perform on April 17 at 7 p.m. Joining them is special guest Chester River Runoff.
Both bands bring that special flare of bluegrass that combines the stereotypical bluegrass sounds with contemporary sizzle. Beachley and his band members have been playing Washington, D.C. area gigs for years and are well known to jam sessions throughout the region.
Pairing old school talent with contemporary bluegrass creativity and drive, Darren Beachley and Legends of the Potomac are sure to make an indelible impression on acoustic and bluegrass music fans. Having spent the last three plus years with Doyle Lawson and Quicksilver, Beachley’s incredible bluegrass voice is spectacularly set off by years of talent he has assembled within the Legends of the Potomac.
Local bluegrass fans will be pleased to see the addition of Chester River Runoff to the evening’s line up. This band has played locally for years and has fans up and down the Eastern Shore. Put the two bands one after the other and you have a show not to be missed.
