Frederick Douglass Gift to Library

On April 20, Pam Black and The Frederick Douglass Honor Society donated a collection of Frederick Douglass research material to the Maryland Room of the Talbot County Free Library.  Becky Riti, the Maryland Room librarian, said of the gift, “We are extremely pleased to add these valuable items to our collection.”  The Maryland Room is recognized as holding one of the country’s top collections of Marylandia.  This donation adds a total of 19 items to that collection, including two photographs of Douglass and a number of important books.  To learn more about the donation and other items related to Frederick Douglass in the Maryland Room’s collection, call the library: 410-822-1626, or visit www.tcfl.org.
