Kent County Commissioners are finding out that no one wants to buy the Board of Ed building on Washington Avenue in Chestertown. No bidders came forward by the deadline, so the commissioners are re-running the sale ad in the Kent News and Star-Democrat omitting the $1.8-million asking price. The county is more than willing to work with interested buyers and maybe cut a better deal. The building has become a white elephant of sorts after the county declared it surplus last year. There have been several interested parties, including Washington College.
