Kratovil, Harris File Campaign Finance Reports

Democratic Representative Frank Kratovil is leading in fundraising compared to Republican Andrew Harris in Maryland’s 1st District congressional race. Kratovil’s campaign released his second quarter fundraising report last week, one day before a Federal Election Commission deadline. Kratovil is reporting that he has about $1.3-million in available campaign funds, according to campaign spokeswoman Jessica Klonsky. Kratovil has raised a total of about $1.8-million so far in this election cycle, compared to about $1.5-million raised so far by Harris. Kratovil is running unopposed for his party’s nomination. Kratovil defeated Harris in a very close race in 2008.

Harris is facing a primary race with two other Republican candidates: Rob Fisher and John Roberts. Fisher is reporting about $239,000 cash on hand, according to spokesman Demetrios Karoutsos.
