The University of Maryland Memorial Hospital Foundation recently recognized Laila Lalani, MD, a physician at University of Maryland Shore Medical Center at Easton, as an Everyday Hero. Dr. Lalani, an internal medicine hospitalist with Physicians Inpatient Care Specialists (MDICS), was nominated by Jane Haley, the wife of a former patient, for the quality care provided to her husband.
