Queen Anne’s County Draft Comprehensive Plan Update Out for 60 Day Review

The Queen Anne’s County Planning Commission has issued the update to the Comprehensive Plan for the 60-day state and public review.  The Draft 2010 Comprehensive Plan may be viewed at www.qac.org (look for the left column quick link to the “60-day Review – 2010 Comprehensive Plan”).

On July 7, 2010 at 6:30 p.m. the Planning Commission will hold a public hearing about the proposed Comprehensive Plan. State agencies, adjoining jurisdictions, representatives from incorporated towns and interested citizens are all welcome to comment at the hearing. Public comment is limited to three minutes for each speaker.

Comments may also be submitted in writing prior to the hearing by e-mail to Barbara Norrington at bnorrington@qac.org and by regular mail to the Department of Land Use, Growth Management and Environment, 160 Coursevall Drive, Centreville, Maryland 21617. All comments must be received by 4:30 p.m. on July 6.

Those without access to the internet may obtain a CD copy of the Draft Comprehensive Plan at the Coursevall Drive office. A paper copy is also available at the Kent Island and Centreville public libraries.
