Robin Hood Shop Celebrates 53rd Birthday

On Tuesday, March 23, shoppers lined up at the door waiting for the Robin Hood Shop to open for its 53rd birthday sale.

This popular event marks the beginning of the Robin Hood Shop’s spring season. The shop, which is operated by volunteers from the Dorchester General Hospital Auxiliary, is stocked with spring fashions, household items, jewelry and books. Proceeds from Robin Hood Shop sales represent a significant percentage of the auxiliary’s annual gifts to Dorchester General Hospital for equipment and services that benefit people throughout the region.

The Robin Hood Shop accepts donations of gently worn clothing and fashion accessories as well as books, fashion accessories, linens, dishes and glasses. Donated items are marked at reasonable prices for resale, offering a good value to shoppers.

The Robin Hood Shop is located at 416 High Street in Cambridge. The shop is open Monday through Friday from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. and on Saturday from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. For more information about making a tax deductible donation of clothing and other goods and to learn about becoming an Auxiliary volunteer, call the Robin Hood Shop at 410-228-6339.
