A ribbon cutting ceremony highlighted the Grand Opening celebration of the Sherwin Williams store located at 63 Kent Towne Market, Chester on Saturday, April 26, 2014. Seventeen other Sherwin Williams stores in the mid-Atlantic region also celebrated grand openings on Saturday.
According to Ron Marquess, store manager, “The business has been well received by the community.” The Kent Towne Market store occupies 3,200 square feet of space that was formerly a Blockbuster. The store currently has four employees. Marquess stated that this location is conducive to serving both the do-it-yourself and commercial contracting customers. Dr. Faith Elliott-Rossing, director of economic development and tourism, said, “I am very pleased to welcome a new business to Queen Anne’s County that meets an identified market need. The fact that it is located in an existing vacant space is a bonus.”
