The Queen Anne’s County Dept of Aging and We Care Ministerial Alliance will sponsor a Spring Information Community Day & Fair on May 1st, 10 am, to 2 pm. at the Grasonville Community Center, located on RT 18 in Grasonville.
Funding for the event made possible through a grant from the Medicare Improvement for Patient and Providers Act (MIPPA).
The fair will include much needed information for Medicare recipients and those on disability under the age of 65. Do you Have Questions about Medicare Coverage, Medigap Insurance, Medicare Advantage plans, Medicare part D Prescription Drug plans or Long term Care Insurance? Are you having trouble paying for medical services, health insurance or prescription drugs? You maybe missing out on important benefits or programs. You may be eligible for assistance for low to moderate income households. (QMB, SLMB, LIS, SPDAP)
In addition to the above services being provided other County agencies plan to attend, Social Services, Health Dept, Sheriff’s office and Emergency Services to offer information on other cost saving programs, health care services, and important safety information for seniors.
Arts & Craft vendors will be on hand to sell their items. Others are welcomed to participate. Also lunch will be available for purchase. If you are interested in participating as a vendor please contact Pastor Arlene Taylor 410-827-4166 or Elder Debbie Cook 410-827-6854 to sign up.
Need a ride? Queen Anne’s County Transportation will provide rides for the event. Buses will pick up passenger at each of the Counties 4 Senior Centers at 9 a.m.
