Task Force to Present Budget Recommendations and Hear Public Comment

The Task Force on Government Sustainability will hold a Public Hearing 7 p.m. April 4, 2011 at Queen Anne’s County High School Auditorium to release their recommendations to balance the FY12 Budget.

The Queen Anne’s County Commissioners appointed eight county residents to review existing government functions and services and make recommendations to safeguard sustainability of county government. County Commission President Steve Arentz and Vice-President Phil Dumenil are also serving on the Task Force.

After presenting their recommendations the Task Force will open the floor to public comment. The Task Force will reconvene April 7, 7:00 p.m. at Chesapeake Exploration Center to discuss comments made during the public meeting and work to finalize their report for presentation to the county commissioners at their April 12 meeting.
