The Grasonville Senior Center is pleased to announce its newest travel destination, Savannah GA. This 4 night, 5 day motorcoach trip is planned for May 9-13, 2011. The package includes two nights lodging at Baymont Inn & Suites in Savannah and two nights en route at Country Inn & Suites in Florence, SC. Also included are a welcome reception upon arrival and 4 breakfasts, 2 full course dinners, and a lunch buffet at The Lady & Sons restaurant. Other highlights include a Musical Revue show at the Historic Savannah Theatre, Sightseeing Cruise on the Savannah River, and guided tour of Historic Savannah. Visits to The Mercer-Williams House, The Thomas-Owens House, Telfair Academy, Savannah History Museum, and The River Street District are also included. Cost of this ”Simply Savannah” tour is $485 per person double occupancy. Single supplement is $99 more. A deposit of $100 is required at time of sign up and balance is due by March 4, 2011. Grasonville Senior Center announces its Alaska Discovery tour going August 27 – September 8, 2011. Interested adults of all ages are invited to attend an informative trip meeting Monday November 15, 2010 at 6:30pm which will offer complete details, beautiful slide show presentation and light refreshments. Discover the great state of Alaska with a vacation that combines the best of both land and sea including an unforgettable 7-night Princess Cruise! The tour begins with a BWI flight to Fairbanks, Alaska’s second largest city. Enjoy two nights at the Fairbanks Princess Riverside Lodge. Spend two nights in Denali at the Princess Wilderness Lodge. Embark on a 7-night cruise aboard the Island Princess, a fabulous floating resort designed to make your stay onboard truly memorable. Points of interest include Whittier, Hubbard Glacier, Glacier Bay, Skagway, Juneau, Ketchikan, Inside Passage, and Vancouver, B.C. A final night stay in the Seattle, WA area will conclude the tour. Other highlights include Fairbanks, Stern Wheeler Discovery, Denali National Park, Music of Denali Dinner Theatre, and the Denali Express Rail Car.
