The Learning & Development Resource Center, Sound Foundations for Learning and the National Autism Association of Maryland-Eastern Shore welcomed about 100 people to its Waterfowl for Kids – Get the Wiggles Out! fundraiser event on Saturday, November 14, 2009.
The fundraiser was planned as a way for children to get “the wiggles out” before or after visiting Easton’s Waterfowl Festival®. The child-friendly environment had a waterfowl themed day to include clam painting and visits by Quackers the Duck. Other activities included cupcake decorating, scrap booking, coloring and playtime on The Learning & Development Resource Center’s activity equipment. Hair Cuttery of Easton was on hand to give haircuts with 100% of the proceeds being donated to the Center. Mary Ann Henker of The Henker Group partially sponsored the event with some materials being donated by SONIC Drive-In.
