You Asked! Maria’s Love Point Answered

“Do I need a timeline?”
Yes, your timeline will provide the organization you need for a successful event.  Timelines are a “guideline”, its rare that everything hits every minute its suppose to.  First invite time on your invitation is not start time. Some guest will arrive early, so be prepared, and a few will arrive ten minutes late.  Plan your start time fifteen minutes after invite time.  Here are some important items to consider for your timeline:  Hair & Makeup, Vendors arrive for setup, Wedding Party & Family Photos, Invite time, Start time, Ceremony start time, Cocktail hour, Guest to seats, Parents & Wedding Party Introductions, Buffet/Dinner service, Toasts, First dance, Cake/Desserts, Last dance, Guest depart and finally Breakdown and clean up. You should review you timeline with all your vendors and remember it’s a “Guideline”.
